  1. That is common. It the gases getting unsettled. They work for years then when they move they break down.

They supposed to be kept upright. did you lay it down when moving it.

  2. And when it was being manhandled into and out of the transport did the dial accidentally get turned up?

  3. I bought a used side by side fridge and when I plugged it in the freezer got cold but the fridge did nothing. It was not laid down on the side or anything.  My dad told me to perhaps clean the coils which on an old fridge would be the back of it, but on this fridge it was underneath.  So I got my vacuum and sucked out all the dirt underneath the fridge and it works great.

  4. The freezer may appear to be working OK,but is it getting down to its proper temp of -18, switch off for 24 hours and leave to stand.

also check that the door closes properly and that the seals are not damaged.

  5. Probably run out of gas.

Call a repair man who will refill for you.

  6. when moving a fridge the gases need to settle. If you do not allow it to sit upright for at least 24 hours after moving to new location you can break the fridge. I am sorry but this sounds like what u have done. You did not wait the alotted time after moving it.

  7. it is because the gasses have seperated /settled, you need to get a couple of friends and turn the fridge upside down a few times as quick as you can then turn it on straight away it should then work??
