  2. how should we know if it will pay?

unless some one is really stupid they will always have a very good interview for a sales / sales related job, why?

Simple, put the shoe on the other foot.

if you want more milk you get more cows.

in other words the company you applied for have a high staff turn over and so anyone applying for the job gets made to feel good to encourage them to join.

some people really are born sales people, they could sell sand to the Arabs and make them think they had a good deal, but it does take the "right type of person" to do it, then if you are that good you will soon accomplish everything and move on

  3. i got a job with combined last year, they paid for the training, the hotel and meals etc. once that was over tho they just basically didnt care anymore. i left shortly after completing the training when i realised they were full of c**p. ive stayed in touch with some of the people i did the training with and out of the 20 people i was trained with in the accident division in October 2007 over half have since left. after completing the training you are sent out into the field with either a rep or a manager. what you earn over the next 2 weeks depends who you are sent out with, i was sent out with a manager so i earned half of the comission she made those 2 weeks, if you are sent out with a sales rep tho all you will earn is 500 for each week  so theres good and bad there coz the manager may not make any sales at all and you earn nothing or the manager may earn 1000s so you dont really know. most of it is cold calling where you get to go threw the local directory and call all the businesses etc. and go and see the current clients to review their accident coverage and see if they no anyone that needs insurance that you can call.

In the training they carry on about NOT using high pressure sales tactics then teach you how 2 anyway when your using their stupid close "So if its alright with you id like to write it for you also, may i do that for you, may i?" The job is basically telemarketing to get your couple of appiontments and then meeting the people to try and sell your c**p. If you want to be a telemarketer its the job for you. if, like me you dont like being abused on the phone, i wouldnt recommend it.

  4. I live in Australia and work for Combined insurance , I had no back ground in sales and the only thing I knew about insurance was that it cost money .  I have been with the company for 6 months now , I was a fisherman before this .  If you a willing to put the work in you will find that the job is very rewarding and that there alot of people that will help you if you are willing to try . you want to know about the income ???? the company pays on commission and bonus pay only as you probably already know I can talk for all combineds workers but for myself I can't tell you that the money is great I have a average income of $1800 per week and that's not including the bonus's in my first 11 weeks I earned over $5000 in bonus  I have earned well over $30 000 in the last 6 months .  But I also put alot of effort into that each week I plan my work and have at least 5 appointments a day you only need to make 3 or 4 sales a week to make good money The best week I have had with the company is $4200 plus $500 bonus if you are in Australia and would like to talk to me you can give me call on my Mobile 0404163745 I work for the accident division in Queensland .  I also have a family , 2 boys and my partner is a full time mum so I can understand the need to bring the coin in each week ......
