Combining Brazilian jujitsu and ishinryu karate?

if i were to combine those 2 martial arts would it make for and effective street fight defence

  2. Sure, why wouldn't it.

    The more tools you have in your arsenal, the better, but the key component is you.  Will you be better prepared physically, probably yes, mentally yes.

    My lack of familiarity with this ishinryu has me puzzled, do they work with modern weapons.  Being full contact is one thing, but do they go over things like stick, knife, bottle and gun.  These are things commonly used on the street.

    I looked up this style and saw one London club with a combat modified version, is this the one you will be studying, as this combat version claims to be the British SAS version, this version I would study in hear beat for street fighting.

  3. yes of coarse it would because it would make you a more balanced fighter because u would have a stand up and ground game,, :)

  4. Either one by themselves if taught correctly would be effective, so combining both would certainly be even more effective.
