Combining a compost and wastewater treamtment plant.?

I dont think combining a compost ans wastewater treatment plant would be a good idea. is that kinda thing even safe for the environment to combine the two?

If they are just co-located, there will be zero problems that could not occur if they were miles apart.  If the sludge from the wastewater is being used as compost, many cities do this.  You just have to follow the rules (see reference).

what brings the subject up?

certainly there are lots of solids in waste water, much of which would be quite appropriate for compost.

having them near each other would cut down in transportation.

how near is up for interpretation, however.
