Comcast Cable Modem + Wifi Issues? Help!!!?

Question

Does anyone know why wifi would work one day and the next day not one computer works with wifi? (Works fine hardwired to any computer, just Wifi?)

1. I called Comcast and of course they swear it has nothing to do with their router.

2. I tried a 2nd wireless router and still the same issue?

3. I have tired various configurations and nothing seems to help.

Try resetting the wireless unit to defaults. Connect without any security first. Once you do this add security back.

It could also help you to do some research on your router and wifi unit.

Unplug your modem and router and let them reset.  If it is still a problem, click on START and then CONNECT TO and try to see what networks are available and if your network is one of them.  This happened once to me, but it worked itself out.  Because one day if it works it should keep working. Unless someone reconfigured something, even then, your wifi items will detect it and correct it.  Good Luck.  Oh yeah COMCAST never is the issue, so forget about them taking blame for issues....not gonna happen....they only resolve issues from a binder of instructions.
