Comcast Customers: Are you happy with your service?

I used to have Brighthouse cable and internet, but I moved and they no longer service my area. I have been a Comcast customer for over a year now and have not been happy with my service at all. I have heard from friends and family, and even Stephen Colbert mentions in his book, that they are not satisfied with their service either. I was just wondering if anyone else has had problems or disappointments with them.

I have been happy with Comcast.

We seldom if ever have any type of outage. I got high speed Internet advertised at 3Mbs and now they are giving me 20Mbs with no cost increase.

I guess I expect less from a service that has a monopoly and so I am pleased with mediocre service.

I love their high speed internet (up to 12kbs in some places), but the customer service and cable TV blows.

ive been a comcast customer for a few months now and havent had any problems.  ive noticed alot of people blame comcast for their own problems

for example, bad wiring in the house, bad equipment, etc...i installed cable before and would always have people flip out when i told them that there would be a charge for rewiring the interior of their homes.  apparently people dont realize that the cable provider can only guarantee the signal to the outside of the house, after that its the home owners responsibility to ensure the cable inside the house can carry the signal.  also cable companys can only guarantee signal to a set number of outlets in a house, usually 4, after that they need amped.  ive run into houses with 7 or 8 outlets inside, and when i told them they needed an amp and it would cost $29.99 for me to put it in, they'd flip out once again.

what types of problems are you having, it may be a simple solution that someone is overlooking or you can fix yourself without paying a technician to come change a wire in your house
