Comcast? Good cable company?

Is comcast a good company? If not what one is good and why?

No, they raise there rates constantly there on demand never works iternet always has issues!!

well that depends on what you want out of your service and where you live.

alot of people that hate cable tv either live in apartments or in older homes with bad wiring (the wiring within the home is not the responsibility of the cable company to maintain) so therefore they get really angry when the cable company tells them their internet keeps going out because of the 20 year old cable inside their house and it will cost $30 to replace it.

if you live in an area with lots of rain or storms then you will really hate dish or directv, i lived in louisiana where all summer long i got a few hours of television service with directv due to the rain knocking out the signal, i live in tucson now and i havent heard people complain about the dish going out here. but i will never go back to directv or dish because they both make you sign year long contracts and charge a butload for service calls, cable television doesnt require a contract and i pay 99 cents a month which covers most service calls.

i use comcast now and i dont have any complaints in the tucson area, when i do call im on hold for maybe five minutes at the most, and i have yet to loose signal in phone/modem or tv.  plus i like the ondemand which provides movies and tv shows whenever you want them if you subscribe to their digital packages.  

but ive heard people from other areas complain alot about comcast, tucson is the only area ive used them, infact i never heard of comcast before moving here...ive always either had directv or cox cable, which id go with cox before dish as well.

I actually think it's really bad, get Optimum or Verizon.

I think it is very good. Had very few problems with it.
