I have the Comcast digital cable box on my TV in my livng room. I'm about to get an HDtv thats going to be put in my bed room. I was wondering if it was possible to keep the digital comcast box on the tv in my living room, and still get the HD box for my HDtv in my bed room?

  1. yes, but just get another box.  It will make your life easier and it will be cheaper to do so.

  2. drop Comcast and go to Directv and you will have a way better experience then you would with Comcast.  Best of Luck!

  3. Sure you can...you only need the HD box for HDTV sets, and Comcast has their system setup to allow you to connect HD in one room and Digital in another room without any special cabling.....

So all you need to do is get the box and hook it up yourself, it is that simple....

BUT.....make sure you buy the HD channels so you can enjoy your HDTV in the bedroom...I mean, that's why you bought the HDTV in the first place, right?

  4. Yep!

  5. Just to follow on, is it possible to use the box in the living room to send a HD signal to the TV in the bedroom and not have a second box?

I talked with comcast today and was informed that one box will put double digit channels all over the house, but will not send the triple digit channel. I think that info is questionable.
