Comcast Internet Usage Caps?

Has anyone read the latest news that come October. Comcast is putting a usage cap of 250gb on their Internet customers. And if you go over you may get a courtesy call. And if you continue to go over they will disconnect you? Hmmm guess they should stop advertising unlimited use? Isn't that Comcastic! :)

  1. Humm, even if you dont use the internet to its full compacity you should not be forced to only use a certian amount.

Soon, we wont even  be able to go on the internet! BAH! Makes me sick!

  2. If you have an unlimited use Internet plan, you could have a serious claim against Comcast. Unlimited means unlimited, and any restrictions or fees that they charge you for going over a cap on an unlimited plan would be outrageous. However, many Internet companies now have multiple plans. The cheaper plans are generally a lower price on a high speed service, such as 19.99/month, but they have a cap. The more expensive plans, such as 49.99/month for high speed service generally are unlimited use. Check with Comcast and make sure that you truly have an unlimited plan. If not, make sure you have away to check your usage, or you may end up with extra charges that you were not planning on incurring.
