Comcast always 0.5x speed

Question

I have the 8mbps package from comcast and every time I try speedtest.net I get about 4mbps. I also have 3 routers due to having a business and I have alot of computers and a wifi router connected as the 4th device which I am connected to right now. Could that be what is slowing everything down, having to connect through 4 devices?

i would say the way you have it setup is slowing it down cause i speedtest my comcast at about 15Mbps but it also depends on how many people are using it in the area cause cable is a shared broadband which is why a T1 cost so much because its used only by you though a T1 is only 1.5 Mbps
