Comcast hd?

Question

I currently have a HD TV with a regular digital cable box. I would like to avoid the extra monthly fee that they charge and BUY a comcast combatable HD box can this be done ? And how can it be done ? hardware ?

I haven't heard of a way to do that. I had HD with Comcast a while ago and I'm pretty sure you have to get the box from them and pay for the HD channels. It sucks but worth it for the HD experience. I switched to Dish Network and got the HD channels for free for 6 months. Hope that helps.
