Comcast phone problem?

My phone has no dial tone. Ive tried everything, rebooting, unplugging and plugging back in. moving the chords around, leaving it off for an hour or longer. Nothings working, and right now my cells off so i need some kind of phone. Any suggestions on what to do?

You're internet is obviously still up so it's not that... check out comcast's website to make sure that they are not having an issue with the phone aspect of their service.

First I would make sure that you rebooted not only your computer, but your phone modem/adapter.  Unplug the back of that... wait  and then plug it back in... give it time to reset... if this doesn't work, the tech support area of comcast should be able to help you reset it on the software level.
