My friend just switched from at&t to comcast for both phone and internet service. After he placed his order he was transfered to speak with someone else for verification or something like that. Does anyone know what are the questions that they ask? The reason I am asking is because he does not understand good english and he answered "yes" to all of them. Thanks

  1. It's called TPV or Third Party Verification. (It's like a signature and requires for phone orders in lieu of a written signature and in some states just required either way- helps prevent fraud) They will ask for the #'s being switched, if you are 18+ and an authorized person to make the switch. If you are authorizing the switch for local/ long distance and international calls (even if you don't make international they still ask) and a few other questions... He needed to answer yes to everything in order to get switched. Best thing to do tho is call Comcast in a few days (with him) and check on the status of the order just to be sure everything is processing correctly and there were no errors.
