it seems as some folks in this section hide even from themselves on who they really are!!....football being a front for more sinister beliefs..and then there are some who are down right predujiced and dont care who knows...so my question is who puts country before religion?(and I dont mean club as thats a cop out).

its a pity this section would be laughable if not so sad I myself have answered just to annoy people who have annoyed me with dumb questions and replies but its not funny anymore..can we not just relish what we do have in the love for our teams without bringing others down?..and FGS there are more than three teams in scotland ie.your local team and the old firm do you have to dominate even in here we are all fans so maybe some respect for the others please they are not just fans of silly wee teams they are brothers/sisters in football terms

  1. I am English and have no religion..I never had my children christened as I wanted them to choose their own, this is what my parents did with me.

my daughter chose to be catholic, my son chose to be nothing, both support Celtic. I have recieved emails asking why I support Celtic if I am English..my answer is WTF? why does it matter who I support, what my religion is or where I am from. I have never supported my national team...cannot bear the fans and tacky car flages etc.

I chose Celtic for the atmosphere, the football and being part of the family.

I also hate it when people say Rangers or Celtic were useless when another SPL team beat them...the fact there is that the other team were better..end of

they can call me fenian, taig or whatever they want..laughable really.

  2. Ok.. my real name is Tam and i used to be a man.

  3. My names Jimmy and I'm an alcoholic, well at least I was the last time I was sober LOL

i try to be brave n take the first step n i get a thumbs down. Thats poor form

  4. im a true Jags fan and a glasgow lad through and through. oh, im also catholic but dont tell the bigots, i get enough c**p because they think i tell porkies about my job, dont think i could handle any pope jokes aimed in my direction.

but i see what your saying, theres more 'snipers' here than in the US Marines

  5. if you cut it all out you lose a lot of good banter, and the forum needs that.i also answer some questioners who are so monotonously boring with their line of questioning by taking the p1ss.however,their questions are usually intended to induce an angry response,so a p1sstaking answer is a fitting reply.i am not prejudiced, bigoted or racist but will include any of the three in a good joke and should be taken as such as  well as i take being called a fenian c4nt,and thats just by the wife.i have respect for every football club supported by the forum members, though that does not mean i have to respect the members views.every team in the spl is very important,as any one of them is capable of taking points from each other,as well as the big two, celtic and dun utd.will stop now as im slipping into p1sstake mode again.

  6. i am a rangers fan brought up catholic but i don't do religion anymore my family all support celtic and we enjoy the banter nothing ever gets out of hand

  7. I agree with Bluebell as regards getting too involved at times and should be ignoring folk but obviously from a Celtic point of view. As ive said regarding nationality, im half Scottish and Irish but have never "supported" either team in years. When I mean supported, I mean actually going to pay to watch. I obviously want Scotland to do well and likewise all the other home nations including England. I deliberately never got involved in the hulla balloo over the anthems during the week because to be honest I would be hypocritcal as I dont "support" the national team the same way I do my club team. I never bring religion into things but will fight my corner if anyone else does and I feel its offensive. As for other teams in the league, don't think ive been disrepectful in any way and im only too aware there are another 10 teams in the league and  other leagues below that

  8. religion is the biggest load a s**t ever!

and people who think otherwise are thicker than s**t!

  9. Agree with what you say but doubtful it is going to make any difference, just feel grateful you don't (I presume) live in the Weegie Goldfish bowl where religion has a big part to play in 22 guys kicking a ball about a field, it borders on pathetic at times but us fans from the 'wee' teams obviously don't understand the importance of it, please someone explain it?...no, wait...don't bother actually.

*To answer main question... I am me, Raith fan, Scotland fan and of no religion (never in a church unless wedding or funeral) or before that, singing hymns at Christmas time at Primary School

  10. Religion confuses me so I don't follow one. I support one club and that's my local club Dundee Utd, why would I I also follow one half of the Old Firm? I hate the OF more than our own rivals. I follow one country and that's Scotland, because I'm Scottish.

  11. will admit i let myself get caught up in all the daftness..i.e rangers fans are you english fans etc when really i should have ignored it...first and foremost i am scottish..i support scotland and rangers..however i don't have a problem being british and standing for the anthem..i understand some don't want to..fine..but they should get off their high horses and let people do what they want..as for the religion bit..i don't do religion..and anyway the wee teams are giving us all a wee run for our money so far..good on em..still the Ger's for the league...:-)

  12. I am Scottish and proud of it,I am neither racist or a bigot, I support my team for football reasons and nothing else, I love Celtic and a bit of banter with the rangers fans. Most people who know me say I am Fanatical, but I think my country , my family and my Jesus come before Celtic in my book, there are more important things in life than football, much as I love it.

my pet hate are those who assume that Celtic = Irish=Catholic.

I am an elder in my church and active in my protestant faith but I Do Love my Footie

  13. The way I am on here is the way I am all the time, the first thought I had when I read this was,I know,my Wife is giving me a hard time as well.Of course there is part of me that only God sees then, my wife sees the best and the worst of me that no one else sees, but sarcasm, daft jokes and mad carry on i'm like that all the time and I get fed up with myself at times because I can't switch it off.Football is nowhere near the top of my list of priorities in my life, and can't really get annoyed at people on here because I don't take it seriously.I would be horrified if I thought I had seriously offended anyone,i'm always

re-reading answers I had previously given and deleting any I think might offend
