There's an Improv on Connecticut Avenue about a block north of the Farragut North station.

I second the vote for DC Improv on Connecticut Ave. NW.  Also, Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse frequently has stand-up comedy, in addition to showing second-run movies.  There's also the Comedy Spot, which is inside the Ballston Mall in the Ballston area of Arlington (Ballston metro stop on the orange line).
