Comet Goldfish - Problem?

Can 1 comet goldfish live in a 29 Gallon ( Very Long Tank ) for about 4 or 5 years, and then i can put him in a Goldfish pond alone.... is this okay

  1. Yes, you can keep a normal comet in that size tank for a while.

    It's quite common for people to buy them small, keep them in a tank for a year or 2, then move them to a pond as they outgrow the tank.

    Cheaper than buying big pond size fish and your small fish dont get eaten by birds in the pond.

  2. Yes, if the pond is big enough he would do better with other fish. Goldfish where bred from a species of carp, they where a schooling fish and goldfish enjoy the company of there own kind.
