Comets asteroids impact?

what causes comets? how are they formed? are they the same as asteriods I seen the movie deep impact would that really happen?

Asteriods could impact the Earth depending upon their size. If they are big like a mile long it could hurt the Earth. Most of the time, Asteriods burn up in the Mesopheric layer of the Earth's atmosphere.

Comets are usually made by small pieces of ice ,co2, and rocks colided together. Also, these things are different from what happens in movies.
