Comfort maker heat pump and handler?

had this 4 ton unit and heat pump and handler recently installed when the heat or air is on it makes a noise in the living room like a dying ceiling fan with loud drone noise up and down noise so irratating have to make tv louder tech says nothing wrong i have 2 units side by side and only the new one makes this noise any ideas

  1. Two units and One is a 4 ton.    you must have a huge house!    Distinguish where the sound is coming from.   Turn your ac off and turn just yourfan on and see if you still hear it.  If you do,    I would bet your blower motor is on to high of speed or your duct work is not sized properly.  If its only while the AC is running.  It still could be blower and incorectly size duct work but also something in the refigeration system  I ran into a similar situation once and found The evap not sized correctly or the installing tech didn;t Install  piston  (orface) in the refrigeration line just before the evap.   It could also be the linesets  (copper pipes connecting the evap with the codenser)  not sized correctly


  2. many times it can be that the return vent has a short run to it and ur hearing the mortor of the unit.... i had to have one house extend the return duct work as to make it quite...
