Question:

Comic Con 2009, do I need to book a room already?

So I am planning, without my bf knowing, a trip to Comic Con 2009. I know it is early, but we never go because he doesn't know how to plan anything in advance, plus it sold out this year so I want to be sure we're there this time. My question is, do I already need to book a hotel? Which ones are good? I don't have time to do a mad dash in February for a hotel room (or so I've heard that's how it goes). About how much did you spend for comic con altogether? ALL info is much appreciated!

  1. Hi!  Would you be talking about the New York Comic Con on February 6 - 8 2009?  http://www.nycomiccon.com/App/homepage.c...  This is the link to the main site.  This link looks cool  https://www.ttgcompass.com/compass/exter...   It's the link to the NYCC Travel Desk.  It looks like they can help with hotel selections and such and could prove to be of use.  OR, you might contact a travel agent for assistance.  I don't think it is too early to look into hotels!  You'll have your room paid for (I assume) and that will be a big load off your back.  As for which hotels/hotels are good to stay in, I cannot tell you as I've never been to NYC.  I live in San Diego and go to that Comic Con and it always sells out and the hotels close by usually do also.  So, you are wise to look into this now!  I so wish I could help with hotel room location.  Maybe you can contact different hotel chains on line and see which ones are near to the Jacob Javits Center (location of the NYCC).  Even if you have to stay farther away to get a good room rate (hotels close to the con may be more expensive), it is good that you are looking into this now.  I know I cannot help with a hotel selection, but I hope I have given you some ideas.

    Good Luck and have fun!!!!
