Should we eat on the Strand or at Euston, thinking of rush hour problems and how best to avoid them

  1. Euston road has  a very nice Indian restaurant,

  2. I'm cautious, so I'd eat near Euston.  There are some very good Indians round the back - in the Drummond Street area.  There are also things like Pizza Express & other reasonable chains very near to the Station.  Or you could try one of the nearby pubs - the Square Tavern on Tolmer's Square used to do good food.

  3. There are lots of places near the Adelphi that you could eat at and then get a cab to Euston without problems. If you let them know you have to catch a train, they can speed things up for you.

For French food, Clos Maggiore is five minutes away:

You're also near Chez Gerard, Joe Allen, Sapori and plenty of chains.

    J. Sheekey is great for fish, though quite pricey:

Near Euston is Number Twelve, which is very good. Not cheap but you're guaranteed a good meal.
