If stagflation was introduced as a result of the 70's oil shocks, how does today differ?

If we will have stability, by what means would the current environment level out?

  1. Inflation has been skyrocketing, this can be seen in gas prices alone, this of course leads to inflation everywhere else for everything. So we have inflation and rising unemployment, college graduates cant get jobs, house prices are falling, and coporations are making more money than ever before. The problem with our economy isnt too much debt, its too much corruption and abuse from corporations. They essentially have the power to reverse our current ecnonomic conditions, but it doesnt benefit their profits to do it. Public policy has dissapointed us by not regulating companies, and allowing for economic condidions to continue the way they are. People will say its an economic cycle, yes but we've reached a point in time where we must take different paths to continue maintaining our capitalistic economy. If we want to avoid financial collapse worse than the great depression, we have to reverse the way our entire economy runs, and it just isnt possible because there are too many people with too much money and power that are preventing this from happening. It just isnt possible without a revolution, and even then the whole system collapses. Either way, the system will collapse, there is no drive or initiaive from people to change the direction of this country, people are so stupid these days they dont even believe global warming is a real threat, and it is this kind of absurd thinking that has gotten us into the problems we are in. It just isnt possible to avoid financial collapse, it sucks, but its true. Anyeone who denies this is the only way is only trying to sustain our current greedy capitalistic ways.

  2. first you would need a wage price spiral

  3. The problem is humans have too much debt in America and maybe even in England and many parts of Europe. Maybe in Japan also.

That is the major problem and also human over population pushing more competition for land and homes and also food as well as fuel. Humanity is fighting over limited resources.

That is the major problem we have today. The only way to solve this is to have a world war III killing off half the human popultion on this planet to 3 billion.

    This is law of nature.
