Coming to ireland for studies...!?

hey guys, iam coming over to ireland for studies next week. I would be staying in dublin.i need to knw what kind of clothes should i be carrying along with me ? i knw nothing about the student lifestyle there.i dont want to look over dressed or under dressed ..help me .. my clothing should be fine in terms of weather and fashion.

I'm finding it very hard to think of what to add if anything that  Priscilla Duck hasn't already mentioned.

Weather wise expect regular drizzle (we've just came out out our tropical rainy season) and general coldness so a good coat would definitely not go amiss.

Fashion wise you could pretty much go to lectures in your birthday suit and not turn heads.  OK a slight exaggeration but don't worry just wear what you normally do and you'll be fine.

More importantly keep an open mind, try to have fun and study as mush as you want or have to and you'll be fine!

Also were due a few sunny days so keep the faith, pack a 1 or 2 summer outfits.

Hi Sarah, there isn't really any such thing as a definite student look here, pretty much anything goes. There are a few set types, like the permatanned-Tommy Hilfiger-Ugg-boots brigade, the never-out-of-sweatpants-and-trainers-cre... and the never-seen-the-inside-of-a-shower-crowd. It's really a matter of personal style.

Kind of a rule of thumb is if you're into skimpy skirts, don't wear skimpy tops and vice-versa. The generic type wears jeans and a top. And make sure you have a decent rainproof jacket and waterproof shoes, although there's a rumour that summer might actually reach us sometime in September.

Girls make a bit more of an effort with their clothes, hair and make-up when going out. Most wouldn't be seen dead without having made full use of the fake tan bottle and a hair-straightener beforehand. White trainers are a no-no and after that it depends on the type of club/pub you're going to. Again, jeans and a nice top will fit you in pretty much anywhere, but if you're more of a mini-skirt and stillettos kind of girl, why not stay true to yourself? There's always an indie crowd too, these folks wear whatever they like and aren't that into trends. They always seem to have the most fun...

The grunge look is in here at the moment. They do be lovin Kurt Cobain.....

We prefer the skimpy skirts so if you have a few of those be sure to bring them with you......
