  1. you are in luck , and as many like yourself have probably found out Perth is the place to be  for work! with so many tradesmen running off to the mining boom anyone staying behind is reaping the benefits of work...work...work.

Every area has their own local paper..advertise their first for your trade and I'm certain the work will flow in, good luck and all the best.

  2. Pretty d**n good. Put your name down at tile shops, like Craft Decor so they can refer you to customers, and also amongst the builders like Scott Park to pick up sub contract work..

  3. Work galore at rates you probably can't imagine. Builders are finding it hard to get tilers at all. Downside is that building is getting a little quieter, but it will spark up as soon as the doom and gloom on interest rates falls off.

  4. it's looking good

  5. There's plenty of work, but if you're coming in on a skilled worker visa, I don't think they just let you tool around doing casual work. Your skills must be in a category deemed to have a shortage of workers, you have to pass a points test and you are expected to find permanent work.

Of course if you're a Kiwi, none of the above applies. Kiwis can enter and work without any conditions
