Question:

Command Sponsorship in the Army?

I'm almost 27 weeks pregnant and my husband and I live in Germany where he is stationed in the Army. I have been thinking about delivering in the states, instead of Germany. Partially because I feel like it would be better because there would be more people (family) around to help out, and I'm pretty nervous about labor. My husband will be able to to take leave and be there when the baby is due.

Does anyone have any information they can provide on this process, like how it works? I know if I'm in the states for longer than 90 days, my command sponsorship can be cancelled, does anyone know if there are any exceptions?

Thank you so much in advance!

  2. You can talk with the Chaplain about your concerns and he/she can provide you with all the official information and some confidentiality. They are an invaluable asset to families that often goes overlooked.
