one friend of mind said, "A phone is a phone, it serves only one purpose, I don't throw money away."

  1. Sounds like he is saying he would rather save his money than talk on the phone...his reasoning is probably that he can talk to people (communicate) in other ways that don't cost money, such as face-to-face, by letter, by sign language, carrier pigeon, etc!

    Some people just do not value a phone--some people even hate 'em!


  2. It sounds as if your friend isn't going to shell out a lot of money on a phone that does all sorts of "fancy" stuff (like take photos, have tons of games, etc.). For your frugal friend, a phone is for communication when you aren't face to face with someone.

    Frankly, I like that way of thinking!
