China was showing off that USA cannot defeat them at any game.They thought that their novices will beat great American pair.The way they completed match in 2 sets speaks of USA's dominance.China will win behind USA but when China comes face-to-face with USA, USA will emerge victors.

Anyways, it was a really close game and the chinese really gave them a run for their money.  I have never seen a chinese say they are superior to the US, at least not unprovoked, it's just the US media trying to stir the pot all the time acting on the defensive.

See why there are so many people around the world dislike Americans?  I'm sure not all the Americans are like this punk.  But this is one of the weakest links that put the shame on the rest.  There are always reasons behind a controversy.  I have American buddies too, they certainly don't talk or act like this redneck.

When American does the same thing, you describe it as being competitive.  When other countries do it, you describe them as showing off.  It's just sad.

China didn't not show off about beating the US all the time. Infact they have full respect for the American pair. Anyway not suprising of the victory by the American pair as they were on drugs

I watched the entire game and was glued to my seat.  Both teams played an awesome game, especially in the downpour.  Our team was wonderful, and the two American women are perfect examples of what sportsmanship is all about.

I got a little teary-eyed when Misti scattered her Mom's ashes on the court.

I don't think China was wanting to show off.  With the US team's undefeated record in the past year, they knew what they had against them. They were only HOPING they could win, like all good teams hope for before a match.

In this case, the better team won!

My only comment is "Why weren't May/Walsh ranked #1 to start the whole thing off in the first place?"  Are the chinese so arrogant as to ignore their 108-0 record by putting their top duo at #1?  Also, why did the Brazilians chase May/Walsh off court #1 for practice before their showdown 2 days ago...don't they know you shouldn't p**s them off?  Both countries = dumbasses....do not F with USA! We will pwn you!
