Comments on the movie "saw"?

so what do you think of it? i've been wanting to buy the dvd but my nephew advised me not to as the movie is too gross for words...

is it anything like sweeney todd or maybe worse, in terms of bloodyness? should i buy it?

It's all right. It is not that gross. I would advise renting it before you buy it though

It is worse than Sweeney Todd, and it is hard to take seriously when they cast Cary ( The Dread Pirate Roberts ) Elwes who has no business trying to be a serious actor  in the movie as a victim, I guess it depends on what you think is gross I didn't think Sweeney was gross at all.

If you love horror and gore movies, you can go for it but i suggest you rent to watch first to see if they are worth buying, that could save you money, but i think these movies are a bit too much, in the end the jigsaw died but his apprentices still continue his killings, it seems neverending movie.
