Comments please,tennis buffs, on Almagro vs Chardy match!? I missed it.?

I know Almagro won. but what was the game like? How did Almagro appear? I have heard he's really good on clay and I wanted to see for myself. I'd appreciate comments and opinions.Will he have to play against Nadal next? His chances?

Almagro is a good clay court player. However he wont be able to trouble Nadal. I predict a straight sets win for Rafa. A lot of people on here reckon Nadal may fall to Nicolas but not a chance. Almagro was taken to 4sets by Andy Murray. Its like hello ? Andy Murray is definitely not a good clay court player and needs much more practise for him to go far in a clay tournament. For Rafa playing Murray on clay is a breeze, if thats not a breeze for Almagro lol then id say he has no chance againt Rafa. Nicolas Almagro also doesnt move very well, Nadal can chase down every ball and run for hours on end trust me Rafa wont get upset tomorrow!

I missed it too.  But I can tell you that Almagro is a great clay court player, as are all the Spanish players.  He probably has more potential than any of the other Spanish players besides Nadal, but so far he hasn't fulfilled it yet.  Against Rafa though, he may put up a good fight, but I doubt he will beat him, mostly because of the big occasion of playing Rafa at Roland Garros, with a 25-0 record.  It will probably be too overwhelming for Almagro.

He did well considering the home support for Cherdy. He just looked more expiernced and confident from his excellent clay court record this year. Nadal is better in everyway though and I do not give Almagro a chance-Verdasco has been impressive on clay this year and look how he got torn apart. Almagro will of course hit some big winners but not enough to trouble Nadal 6-3 6-3 6-1 or something like that I predict.
