Comments tennis lovers?

I was browising the web and saw this The Battle of the Sexes thing from when Billie Jean King beat Bobby Riggins and started thinking. Not to take away from BJK or women of every sport, but that was a stupid match-up. BJK was the best women's tennis player ever while Riggins was middle-of-the-pack. It didn't say anything. IT's just something I was thinking about.

In the early 90s, there was a match between Jimmy Connors and Martina Navratilova, which Jimmy won 7-6 6-0 (I think). I don't know why people don't talk about that match.

people keep bringing this up, and I'm kinda getting tired of it...lets just have federer or nadal or djoko play maria or even henin (if she would agree).

Bobby Riggs was good in his prime, and beat the best, but he was way past his prime in this match.    He did beat Margaret Court that year, however, and she was one of the top women.

It is the most over-rated tennis match in history. Billie-Jean King was in her prime as a tennis star, and Bobby Riggs was old, fat and years past his prime. This match doesn't prove that women can beat men, merely that an athlete in peak form (male or female) can beat a sad old has-been. Utterly pointless!
