On the assignment sheet it says to research target market, product quality and affordability and a promotion mix plan. What does this mean???

  1. Target market is the market you want to sell to. Basically who are your customers going to be? Product quality is measured against other similar products and customers’ perceptions of those products. Affordability is simply the target markets willingness or ability to purchase the products. You probably would not sell hummers to people making minimum wage. Promotional mix refers to sales, incentives, and other ways you will influence your customers to buy from you. This could include buy one get one free or half off, a frequent buyer program, sales on certain items to get customers in the store, or free shipping.  


  2. It''s asking you to find out who you are trying to sell your product to and what they are like (age, race, job etc), what the quality standards are (like, it can't be broken or damaged when it's sold) and whether or not the average person can afford it.

    a promotion mix plan includes:

    - advertising

    - personal selling

    - public relations

    - direct marketing

    - sales promotion.
