  1. You can also call your local AME or go to www.virtualflightsurgeon.com and check.

  2. Go to

    http://www.faa.gov/about/office_org/head...

and you'll find the  vision requirements

  3. diffrent airlines have diffrent requirements

  4. it's no problem as long as you can correct it to 6/6 dude

  5. yeah your fine but just incase you might want to get some contacts so they dont know also you cant be color blind but im sure you know that

  6. Airforce:No

Any other type of piloting: yes

  7. If you look around an Airport you will notice many Pilots wearing glasses. They are not a problem.

FAR 67.103 ( requirements for first class medical ) states that eyesight must be corrected to 20/20.

This clearly means glasses or contacts are acceptable but must be worn while exercising the privileges of your certificate. Provided of course they correct your eyesight to the 20/20 standard.

    Good luck

  8. You must be able to pass the eye exam portion of your medical with out the glasses. I wear contacts at -1.75 and have never had a problem passing the eye exam. You must get your medical from an AME (aviation medical examiner). The best thing to do is go and have the exam for your student liscense. You'll probably find that it's not a problem to pass the medical. The eye exam that you will be given focuses more on things like dislexia and color blindness. You'll be fine.

  9. Today, vision is important but the rules aren't as strict as they used to be. If your lenses can correct you to 20/20, you are fine. They just want 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses.

  10. If its correctable to 20/20 with glasses, yes.
