  1. flying privately is fun. flying commercially is work. flying privately for business is deadly.

  2. Well, let's put it this way. If you only fly for fun, it will always be fun. If you fly for a living you still might enjoy it, but it isn't what anyone would call lots of fun. I've flown professionally for 23 years and also have my own private airplane that I hardly fly because I don't see it as fun any more (partly because it is so expensive). I only use it as a tool for traveling.  Now, if I had an aerobatic airplane to play with, that might be fun for awhile, but I'm sure that would become "old" too. Flying for your own business isn't generally fun either, especially if you approach it with a professional attitude. It can be an enjoyable way to get around if your business allows it, but it can also be deadly as mentioned above. An over-tired business man, flying his own high performance airplane in bad weather is an accident  waiting to happen. Personally, I feel they should sit in the back and sip martini's while the pro's do the work.
