Can a commercial pilot’s license land you a job that pays more than 75K? If so, what kind of jobs is out there?

  1. Way back in my day...I followed the season as a crop duster...flying Ag-Cats that finally a Turbo-Thrush. You can get close to that amount, but...you'll be flying the 'low' stuff and putting in way to many hours/day to be 3 feet above the ground.

  3. No.  You need plenty of experience to be paid 75K.

Flea is right.  If the season is good and all conditions are right, an aerial applicator can make that.  That works out to be around 40 to 50 thousand acres, which is a pretty heavy season, but it can be done.  I disagree with him about the days being too long and flying too low though.  I wouldn't do it any other way, everyone else can keep those corporate and airline jobs, I don't want them.
