I am on US L2 visa n hv EAD. Am contacted by a company for work-from-home recruitment on complete commission basis to start with. When i asked for offer letter, they say its ILLEGAL to NOT give base salary to an EAD holder, and 1-2 months from now, when i start getting business to the company, they will convert payment to base+commission n then give me an offer letter. They say giving an offer letter means they have to pay me the base salary which they don't intend to do at this point. Are they right? Can i go ahead with this company?

  1. Contact local immigration officials. They can guide you in the right direction .

Deport illegals, and keep the dream alive.

  2. No.  This offer does not meet immigration's requirements, so you cannot work there.  And a work-from-home "recruitment" thing is not a job at all -- it's a work-at-home scam.  Forget it.
