Commission for warranty work???

I took my 2007 Jeep Wrangler in for some issues it was having. First they replaced one thing, then another, then another. I was without a car for 4 days. Do these service guys still get paid commission for warranty repair work? I thought not but someone tells me yes and that the dealer could just be making these things happen for $$$. Sounds pretty ignorant to me but do they get commission? I think NO.

  1. Dealers dont pay commission, they pay their techs flate rate, and yes, they get paid for warranty work.

  2. they probably did a crappie job of dianosing it the first time, and as they fixed one thing it would show something else that needed to be repaired,

and yes the techs get paid for what they do & the dealer gets paid for warr. work done ,but the factory reps visit their dealers pretty regular, they would catch that if it was a reoccuring thing.so the answer to your question is yes,no,and maybe
