Common langage?

At a period of time, there was a common langage that the people tried to make up...what was the langage??

Wayyyyyyyyy back there was a common language.

It was called Latin, and is the root to a majority of the western languages today.

Yes, Esperanto.  I was surprised to recently hear that the Chinese government is actively promoting its use in order to have a common language (other than wicked English) for use among its multilingual people.  There is even a radio station there that broadcasts exclusively in Esperanto, and you don't do that unless the Chinese government wants you to.
