Common side effects of the copper iud?

i had the copper iud implanted in me april 2007. i keep getting the bacterial infection bacterial viganosis..is this common? should i get it taken out and try something else? i have never had any complications until the iud was inserted in me.

you might be allergic to copper...I think you might want to try something else.
