Question:

Common to remove wisdom teeth before crowning?!?!

I just had a root canal and need to get it crowned. A dentist (I just changed dentists) told me I had to extract my wisdom teeth before I could get them crowned. This sounds a little fishy to me because the tooth that needs the crowning is no where near my wisdom teeth. Anyone know if it's common to have your wisdom teeth removed before a crowning?

  1. May not be common. I have two of mine left because they are attached to a bridge.

Two are gone. I have to admit the bottom part of my mouth feels and looks much better without them . You don't need them and they are a pain in the butt to keep flossed and clean.
