Commonwealth of Dominica-bars, restaurants, towns...?

Question

Going down there week after next. I am in my fifties and going with my lady. We like to eat well and drink good wine. I like dive bars that are safe. Not looking for a bordello but places to go to meet fellow tourists and fun locals. I am looking for suggestions. We are staying at a place called the Dive Castle (I think) but no clue where that is on the island. Seems to be a secret. What are the different towns like?

It's a beautiful island, known more for it's jungles/waterfalls and diving than for its beaches.

Hello.I am from the island of Dominica.You mean you are staying at Castle Comfort Dive.If this is the place you are speaking of then its about 5 mins drive away from  Roseau- the Capital and is right on the bus route as well ,so getting to and from town wont be a hassle at all.

The links below will give you a list of the hotels and their contact numbers.If you both  like wine then the french restaurants "Cocoricco" and "La maison" are excellent choices.(both are in Roseau)

Other oustanding restaurants on island and in town includes "La Robe creole".
