Communication skills?

Hello,

I am working professional and in industry from last 10 years into technical job ( Unix system Admin ). As I am moving into middle management, I need to strengthen my communication skills, english writing skills. Many times I feel i am not able to express my self into words, many times according to my boss I mis interpret statements from clients. I need to actively communicate in written and verbal discussions with european clients.

Can you pls suggest.
