Communist countries today?

North Korea and Cuba are the only "true Communist" countries.  But China was.  Also there are Communist political parties in every countries.  And Nepal just had a election and the communist party won 35ish % of the vote

There are no communist countries in existence at the moment.

There has only been one communist country, and that was Democratic Kampuchea (Cambodia) between April 15, 1975 and January 4, 1979 when the Khmer Rouge (Pol Pot and his people) ruled Cambodia.

All other so-called "communist countries" were, and many still are, "Socialist countries" run by Communist parties (political parties that believe in the Communist economic system).

Communism is not a political system, it is an economic system.

There are only 2 "true" communist countries left.

Cuba and North Korea.

All other, so called, communist countries (China, Vietnam, etc) aren't. They allow ownership of personal property.

Blaine is actually right in the literal sense. Those countrys mentioned before were socialist countrys. A true communist country has no government. As Marx said the problem with communism is humans just havent"evolved" enough for it to work so they need a government to enforce it.

As history has shown neither works and why after witnessing the explosion of China's economy after loosining the ties of socialism why would anyone vote to tie our economy with more socialism?
