I'm going for an interview to get into a post grad. Community Education Diploma (in Scotland) and wondered if anyone had any nuggets of information or 'in buzwords' that might help me. I'm going back to uni after bringing up my children so I'm a wee bit out of the loop. Thanks in advance.

  1. Good on you. You are to be admired.

You will find lots of 'buzzwords' as you say, acronyms, and other disguises to hide lack of common sense. You are supposed to be put in a situation of weakness/embarrasment when it is discovered by "the empire" that you do not know these impediments to free speech. Think of it as an 'invitation only club'. Good luck, and welcome to the modern world.

  2. Just speak how you usually do.  You'll have to pick up so much jargon throughout the course and your career and it'll change with every passing fad anyway!

    Good luck!

  3. I am sure if you are just honest and yourself you will do just fine.  I wish you the best.
