   Find an elderly person who lives alone near you.  It can be wonderful for them if you visit.  Can you check that they have food in the frig.

   Try your local Red Cross or  Rescue Mission.  If not, try the Salvation Army, Girl and Boy's Clubs and any homeless shelters in the Palo Alto area.  Good Luck and much success.
