Community Service and Volunteering?

Question

Hows it going everybody Ive been wanting to do some community service or volunteering for the longest time. I love to work with kids but Its hard for me to find time since I work about 40 hours a week and attend college. Ive been real interested in helping places like the Boys & Girls club and places where kids need help. If anybody knows how I can get involved with these orginizations id appreciate any advice.

You could also become a CASA (google it)

All you have to do is call and either Big Brothers & Sisters or CASA would be thrilled to gegt you started.

Become a Volunteer Firefighter. With a little training, and they revolve it around your schedule, you can be riding the Ambulance and really helping out with your community. The majority of calls we get are child related. The feeling you get after knowing you have just saved a life, its incredible. Undescribable. You dont need to spend much time there, and eventually with training you can become an EMT, IV Tech, Paramedic, Rescue Technition, Confined Space Rescue Tech, Firefighter I&II certified, and much more. You can never reach the top of the totem pole in a firehouse. Its continous learning. And if im not mistaken, there are child rescue and learning classes im sure you would be interested in. Its just a great enviorment to be around. All you have to do is find your local fire dep, ask for an application, and wait for them to bring you in. Guareenteed instand hobbie.
