Community service for the blind?

Question

a friend of mine who is going into high school is very nearly blind (1 word at a time a centeimeter away) and she wants to do community service but because of her dissability she is having a hard time what projects do you reccomend she work on?

My good friend is blind.  She does things like cook for programs that feed the homeless, and also participates in charity walks, obviously holding someone's elbow & using her cane.

Good for her wanting to do community service,even when she is adapting to her own limitations.  They say you are only limited by your imagination.

Since she is a walker, I encourage that, also nursing homes and Children's Hospitals, maybe an exercises program for the shut ins. Or she could tape stories on cassettes to replay for those that cannot read, they love to listen to stories.
