Is that possible to commute between Cardiff and Newport daily? what are the available transportation systems? How much does it cost? How long does it take?

  1. By train:

    weekdays, departing at about 8 and returning at about 5pm will cost about £3.10 and will take in the region of around 15 minutes.

    By bus:

    The X30 and 30 buses operate from cardiff to newport, taking about 35 minutes and costing about £4 for an adult return.

    By car:

    involves taking the M4...unfortunately busy during rush hour...however it is being widened. Obviously free but i can't give an exact time because it depends on the traffic.

    Cycling:

    If you do want to cycle this is going to take significantly longer, around an hour depending on how fast you cycle.

    Those are your best options for commuting..(well only options unless you want to walk)
