  1. did you know you get to thousand oaks by transit?

    yes   from sherman oaks

    during peak hours

you can go to either the Van nuys & Ventura Freeway (there

a stop for the LADOT 422 at the on ramp for this bus

it will take to either thousand oaks transit center and/or Oaks mall

the first bus depats Van Nuys and 101 freeway at

5:33am arrives Thousand oaks at 6:45am

the last bus to thousand oaks leaves 8:03am arrives Thousand oaks at 9:15

note there are other bus runs during that time but those buses dont go to Thousand oaks  they only to Topanga canyon

and ventura (but there you could transfer to Metro 161

which will go to Thousand oaks (just a little slower

    as it mostly a local)

if you are doing this on the Weekend then you

can take the 150 or 750 to Topanga cyn and then transfer to 161 to thousand oaks

  2. A good rule of thumb for the LA basin during normal commuting rush hour is to take the amount of time given by yahoo maps and double it.

  3. From Burbank (Los Angeles) to Thousand Oaks (Ventura) is approximately 35 miles through I5, SR134 and SR101.  That's a brutal drive especially during peak hours, may take you at least an hour.

Woodland Hills is around halfway in between, so about 30-minute drive from Thousand Oaks. To Sherman Oaks is another 15 minutes.
