Commute time from Utah county to SLC?

I'm wondering if I live in Provo, UT and drive to Salt Lake City everyday for work how long it will take me to and from during rush hour. Also is there any good public transportation system that runs that way. I take the train in California now and it's way better than driving.

If you drive in rush hour, it'll take an hour or more to get to Salt Lake. But they're actually building a train called the FrontRunner from Provo to Salt Lake. Salt Lake also has a light rail.
