  1. Where in flushing are you looking to go?

If you take the q46 along Union from Utopia (Where St John's is) to Main street, you can get off and take the Q44 or Q20 up Main street towards Elder ave, and by Old NAvy and stuff like that.

the Q46 lets you off at the corner of Main and Union turnpike... the 46 runs along Union turnpike between lakekville road and the kew gardens subway station. It only travels union turnpike.

So the 44 or the 20 will take you up MNian street OR you can take the buses that run up Kissena blvd.  It's really thard to explain in writing, there are a lot of options.  This is the link for the Queens bus map, focus on the area arounf the "flushing inset", there's a box drawn around it, and the mains street buses run right through the middle of it, so you can find what I've been talking about.  You'll find union turnpik due south of that box.

You can always call MTA 800 number too, and they can tell you exactly what you need to do step by step to get from point a to point b.  Good luck. When I first got to queens I was SO confused with the buses.  I fI got anything out of 4 years at St John's it was NYC navigational skills because I never wanted to hang out on campus.  Have fun
