Commuting options - Temecula to South Orange County, California?

I have an offer for a job in Irvine, California. Problem - I live in Temecula and don't drive.

Is it possible to commute via public transit?

Are there any van pools I can join that make this trip?

Use RTA bus 208 to get to the Riverside Metro-link station, then take the train to Orange County, there are several different stations /tops.  There is also an on line van pool/carpool link below.
